So, the name.
I think it's clever, but not too clever. I like that.
My first association is with Steak... as in a delicious slab of red meat... so good. I love my meat. "Raising the steaks on the plates... because they are delicious!" (okay, not a great sentence, but an awesome sentiment.)
The second is to do with the vampire craze... I will vent about vamps at some point, but for right now, I'll just say I'm on Team Buffy. So "raising the steaks and slamming them into vampires hearts."
And last but not least, raising the steaks, as in high steaks, as in action films, gambling and car chases. It makes me feel bad ass. "We're raising the steaks. It's all or nothing. Things could get deadly." That's something I say all the time while strapping knives to my thighs and reloding my gun. You know what I'm talking about. I'm wearing a black beater and tight black pants, leather knee-high boots. There is just a little soot or grease smeared on one cheek (either from the explosion that I didn't watch, I just walked away while it happened, or the cars I was fixing). We're hiding behind something either in a mansion, a warehouse, a loading dock... something like that, and I turn to Jason Statham and say "let's raise these steaks." Happens all the time.
Also, (after last comes also) I grew up on a bison ranch, so, on another literal plane of raising (rearing) the steaks, as in delicious meat. As in "We're raising these steaks to eat next year." Delicious!
Basically, I live a glamour filled, high risk, vampire slaying life, where I fight crime in a totally badass way with Jason Statham, then come home and eat steak. And I don't pretend to make ANY sense.
If you've read this far either we're friends, we should be friends, cuz you actually enjoy my ramblings, or your job is really boring.
enjoy!
